The Story Behind Luxe Pumpkins

For years, I worked in public relations, crafting stories that cut through the noise and captured national attention. I guided IPO publicity, managed high-stakes crises for CEOs who made… let’s just say… less-than-brilliant choices, and even created a tongue-in-cheek brand called Cicadapalooza that landed on the front page of The New York Times.

That chapter of my career taught me something important. Stories have the power to transform how people see the world. But it also made me realize I was ready to tell a story of my own. A story rooted in joy, creativity, and just a little bit of pumpkin geekiness.

Luxe Pumpkins is that story. It’s a way of turning seasonal moments into neighborhood conversations while bringing a touch of sophistication and sass to everyday life.

What Makes Luxe Pumpkins Different

I collaborate directly with Illinois farms to hand-select heirloom pumpkins and gourds, then curate them into photo-worthy displays that stop neighbors in their tracks. These designs elevate entrances from grand estates to charming porches. Along the way, I’ve discovered how much I love the process, driving through central and southern Illinois, soaking up obscure pumpkin factoids, and hunting for the most exceptional, unusually beautiful pumpkin for just the right home.

At Luxe Pumpkins, every pumpkin is more than just a decoration, it’s a story. From farm fields to the entrance of your home, each one carries with it a sense of joy, beauty, and connection to the season.

When the season winds down, Luxe Pumpkins return to farms, repurposed as treats and feed for animals. It’s a full circle. Grown by farmers, styled for homes, and returned to the land.

This year, Luxe Pumpkins is already nearly sold out, before I’ve even begun to tap into my PR skills. That’s the power of a good story, paired with a love for fall, a commitment to sustainability, and the delight of turning porches into seasonal showpieces. All fueled by my nerdy pumpkin obsession.
